OUR SERVICES INCLUDE:
DIRECT CREMATION
Direct Cremation is the simplest, most affordable option for those who do not wish to have a funeral service or viewing. A direct cremation includes transport of the body from place of death to our care facility, refrigerated storage, filing of death certificate and burial permit, the cremation process and a temporary urn for the ashes.
HOME WAKES & FUNERALS
Our signature service is the home funeral that allows family and friends to care for the body of their loved-one at home, in their own time honoring cultural and religious traditions. Please visit our home funeral page or FAQ for more information about home vigils and funerals.
GREEN BURIALS
We help families wishing to minimize their final footprint by finding local options for green burial. A green burial is one where the body is not embalmed, the burial container is made of 100% biodegradable materials, the casket or shroud is not placed inside a concrete vault, graves are not maintained but become part of the natural habitat, and there are no headstones but natural rocks or GPS coordinates mark the gravesite.
FULL-BODY SEA BURIAL
Our full body sea-burials provide an an opportunity to return to the ocean of life. This option is for families wishing for a green, natural burial without the cost of a burial plot or maintenance fees. We shroud the body in a custom shroud weighted with up to 160 lbs of pebble stone ballast. Our chartered boats can take up to 100 passengers out to the sea burial cemetery in approved federal waters 6 miles from shore. The funeral service is carried out on deck and family members may assist in deploying the body and marking the grave with flowers while the bell tolls eight times, as is the maritime tradition.
WITNESS CREMATION
A Witness Cremation provides all the services of a direct cremation and includes a 10-minute ID viewing at our cremation facility where the family may hold a simple ceremony, close the lid of the casket, insert it into the chamber and start the machinery.
CELEBRANT SERVICES
Our Funeral Celebrants are available to help families honor their loved-one with either a home funeral service, a chapel or graveside service or memorial. Celebrants assist with funeral service planning, writing the eulogy, creating tributes and officiating the service. Please call in advance so we may better assist you.
